Established back in 1998 and still boasting some of the original founding members, BNI Holborn is a group of businesses based in and around the Midtown area of London who meet every Tuesday at 6:45am.

Membership Basics

Only one person from each profession is permitted to join a chapter of BNI.

All participants should represent their primary occupation, not a part-time business. Attendance is critical. However, if you cannot attend a meeting, you may send a substitute.

Should none of the categories apply to your business/profession, and you can’t see a current member filling the seat of your profession, please contact us, we would love for you to come along and visit!

ROLES

EMMA PARKER

PRESIDENT

My role as the president of BNI Holborn is to run an inspiring meeting and ensuring it keeps to time. We need to inspire people at our 90 minute meeting to go forth and find people business. It is an upbeat meeting which members and visitors enjoy. I also liaise with the Membership Committee to ensure that we are addressing.

I like to personally welcome each visitor to make sure they feel welcome before, during and after the meeting. Once visitors have made the decision to join, I hold inductions to ensure that they understand how BNI works and how it can add value to their business and personal development.

I also liaise with the BNI directors and meet with the leadership team once a month to look at ways to support, nurture and grow the group

TERRY CELLA

VICE PRESIDENT

My role as VP of BNI Holborn is to track the performance of the chapter and give feedback on the chapter’s performance. I want to see improvements across all areas of the business because I then know that people will be making money.

I look out for any conflicts within the group and ensure people are following the guidelines created by BNI that are proven to maximize the amount of business being done between members. I log absences and also follow up any visitors and lead them through the process of joining.

I also chair the monthly membership committee meetings.

DAN STEIN

SECRETARY TREASURER

My role as the secretary treasurer is to process the paper work for membership payments and standing orders for the lovely breakfast you have each week. I advise the chapter on outstanding fees and help with the process for renewing members.

I also manage the Feature Presentation – an 8 minute speaker slot via allocating dates to my fellow members and introducing the speaker each week.

EVENTS COORDINATOR

As the events coordinator of the group, it is my responsibility to let the group know of any upcoming BNI training events and any BNI Holborn social events. Check out our upcoming events here.

VISITOR HOSTS

The roles of the visitor hosts are to be at the venue for 6:30 am to set up the welcome desk. Once ready, they then welcome all visitors as they arrive followed by introducing them to the president and also helpful contacts within the group.

EDUCATION COORDINATOR

As the education coordinator, I arrange speakers from the chapter to talk about relevant topics to help enhance the networking skills of the fellow members.
